for everything you mean to read
The read-later app that gets you to “later”
Saving is easy; getting back to it is the hard part. Posto turns the articles, videos, threads and PDFs you save into a short plan for today, a quiet place to read them, and highlights that come back before you forget.
Save it in a second
Paste a link anywhere in Posto, drop a PDF onto the page, or share from another app once Posto is installed. Articles and web pages, posts from X, Instagram, LinkedIn and Reddit, YouTube, TikTok and Vimeo videos, and PDFs all go in the same place. Posto fills in the title, source and preview, guesses a topic, and estimates reading time for articles and PDFs.
An inbox, then one decision
New saves wait in your Inbox. Sort each one with a single key — T for Today, L for Later, R for Learn, E for Done, and J/K to move. Posto shows where it thinks each item belongs, but nothing moves until you decide. Photos, notes and places skip the inbox and are simply kept.
A short plan for today
Every day Posto picks a few things for you to finish — two by default, anywhere from one to six. It starts with what you pinned for today, then what you’re partway through, then your Learn list (shortest first among the oldest, so nothing rots), then the Later pile. Each pick says why it’s there, the plan doesn’t reshuffle while you work through it, and a streak counts the days you read, finish or review something.
A calm reader
Articles open inside Posto as clean text with Paper, Sepia and Night themes and adjustable text size, and Posto remembers how far you got. YouTube videos play inline. PDFs have their own reader with highlights, page notes, bookmarks, search inside the document, and it reopens on the page you left. Some pages can’t be read inside Posto — paywalls, logins, apps — and for those Posto points you to the original.
Highlights that come back
Select any passage to highlight it or add a note. The next day, it comes back for a two-minute review on your Today page. Each time you remember it, it waits longer — 1, 3, 7, 21, 60 and then 180 days; choose Again and it starts over. Every highlight also lives on one Highlights page, so the best parts of everything you read are in one place.
Find anything later
Press ⌘K or / to search everything, jump anywhere or save something new. Ask the way you’d ask a friend — “videos about design I haven’t opened”, “PDFs from last month” — and Posto works out the topic, type and time for you.
Questions
Is there a browser extension?
No. Save by pasting a link anywhere in Posto, dragging links and files onto the page, or sharing from other apps on Android and desktop once Posto is installed.
Can I import my saves from another read-later app?
Not at the moment. Posto can restore its own backup files, but it doesn’t import from other apps.
Does Posto work on my phone?
Yes. Posto runs in the browser on phones, tablets and computers, and you can add it to your home screen. With Pro, the same scrapbook syncs across all of them.
How much does it cost?
Free for up to 100 saves and 3 PDFs. Pro is $4 a month, $36 a year or $89 once — see pricing.
