Save Instagram posts somewhere you’ll actually find them
Posto keeps each Instagram post or reel as a card with its caption, your note and who it’s for — next to the articles, videos, places and photos you save from everywhere else.
How to save an Instagram post or reel to Posto
- In Instagram, tap the share icon under the post or reel and choose Copy link.
- Open Posto and paste. Anywhere on the page works — press ⌘V or Ctrl+V outside a text box — or tap + and paste into the link box.
- Posto recognises the link as an Instagram post and fetches the caption and preview image when Instagram makes them available. If it can’t, the card still keeps the link, and you can give it your own title.
- Add a note, a few tags, or who it’s for, and save. It lands in your Inbox, ready to sort.
Skip the copy-paste on Android. Install Posto from Chrome (Add to Home Screen or Install app) and it appears in your share sheet — on Android, and on desktop browsers that support sharing to web apps. On iPhone, copy the link and paste it into Posto: iOS doesn’t let web apps join the share sheet.
Prefer screenshots? Paste or drop the image into Posto and it’s kept as a photo card, next to everything else you save.
Why keep Instagram saves outside Instagram
Instagram’s Saved tab only lives inside Instagram, sorted by when you tapped the bookmark. The recipe you meant to cook, the café for your next trip and the workout a friend sent all end up in one long grid. In Posto, an Instagram post is one card among your articles, videos, books, notes and places, so it sits with the things it’s actually about.
What you can do with a saved post
- Say who it’s for. Mark a post “for Mom” or “for Sam”, then ask Posto “what did I save for Mom?” when you next call.
- Tag it without thinking. Posto suggests a topic — Travel, Food, Design, Fashion and more — and a collection as you save. Change them or leave them.
- Ask for it in plain words. Search understands questions like “Instagram posts about travel from last month”, matching captions, notes, tags and people.
- Put a trip together. Add saved posts of a place to a memory box alongside your own photos and notes from being there.
- Let it come back. Posto gently resurfaces old saves — “You saved this 3 months ago” — so good finds don’t vanish.
Private by default
Posto never asks for your Instagram login and can’t see your Instagram account. On the free plan your scrapbook stays in your browser on your device; with Pro, your cards and notes are also backed up and synced to your other devices. Posto doesn’t show ads, doesn’t sell data and doesn’t use your saves to train AI models.
Questions
Does Posto download Instagram videos or photos?
No. Posto keeps the link with its caption and preview so you can find it again; the post itself stays on Instagram. Open the card and tap Original to watch it there.
Can I import my existing Instagram saved collections?
No — Instagram doesn’t offer a way to export them to other apps. Add the posts you care about by link or share, one at a time.
Does it work with reels?
Yes. Reels links are saved the same way as posts.
Is it free?
Yes, for up to 100 saves with no account. Posto Pro removes the limit and syncs your devices — see pricing.
